Naples Christian Academy offers an
authentic Christian learning environment that assists
parents in providing a Christ-centered education of
the highest caliber. Skilled and involved teachers
promote high academic standards while helping middle
school student develop skills in creative and critical
thinking. Rigorous academic coursework and small classes
support the quest for excellence in spiritual, social,
emotional, and academic growth.
Core academic subjects include English
grammar/writing, literature, math, science, social
studies, Bible, and Spanish. There is heavy emphasis
placed on writing, research, and study skills to prepare
students for high school. Students are exposed to
art, music, physical education, and technology and
may choose from a variety of electives and extracurricular
activities including sports, scholar bowl, student
council, praise and worship team, yearbook staff,
and community service projects that are designed to
complement the core program. In the eighth grade,
high school credit is available for Spanish and Algebra,
and students have an opportunity to participate in
an international mission trip.
Middle school students also enjoy
opportunities to build powerful relationships with
their teachers and peers through an overnight retreat
and service projects throughout the year. Seventh
grade students visit Washington, D.C., as a part of
their in-depth study of American government. The middle
school teachers meet regularly as a team to collaboratively
plan units, review curriculum, and make every effort
to communicate with parents. Students and parents
can check assignments and grades online and can communicate
electronically with teachers. NCA eighth graders consistently
score in the top ten percent of students in the nation
in math and reading standardized tests. Academy middle
school graduates perform extraordinarily well at the
high school level.
