Elementary

Christian education and the spiritual formation of young minds are achieved through a strong partnership of parents and committed, caring Christian teachers. At Naples Christian Academy, that partnership is taken to heart. During these early formative years, innovative classroom techniques stimulate eager minds and foster the joy of learning in the core subject areas of reading, spelling, math, science, social studies, and Bible.

Curriculum is organized around thematic-based units designed to help students make important learning connections among subject areas. The reading program is literature-based and blends phonics with writing skills.Limited class size allows each child to receive personalized attention and guidance by highly experienced teachers who strive to develop each student’s social, physical, and academic skills.

Elementary students at the Academy participate in a variety of curriculum-related field trips that instill a sense of excitement and allow for a deeper understanding of the subject area(s). Students have the opportunity to learn in context and engage in real world experiences. For example, fifth graders take a three-day trip to Sea Camp in the Florida Keys which corresponds with a unit on oceanography. Foreign language, library skills, and computer instruction are also integral programs that emerge during the elementary curriculum to encompass a well-rounded educational experience. In addition, the Academy offers an enrichment (gifted) program designed to encourage students of exceptional ability to reach their intellectual potential.
