Naples Christian Academy is currently raising funds for the second phase of a new playground. A playground is more than merely a place for children to learn and practice motor skills. Through thoughtful planning, playgrounds can also function as important settings for children's intellectual, emotional, and social development. NCA's current playground is old and is developmentally inappropriate for many of the age groups that need access to it. Our goal is to raise a total of $100,000 to fund two new play structures in addition to new swings, a sand and water table, a climbing rock, and landscaping. The first was completed and installed in December 2006. The cost of the second and final phase of this project is $55,000. $20,000 has been raised thus far for this second phase.
