Karen Chancy is a native of Naples and a graduate of Florida State University with a BA in Economics and Political Science. Upon graduation from FSU, Karen returned to Naples to work for a private financial services firm before moving to Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. in 2000. Karen joined Morgan Keegan & Company, Inc. in 2006 and is a member of the Spielman Lewis Chancy Investment Management Group. Karen has earned a Certified Financial Planner designation. She is an active member of Center Point Community Church.
David C. Conn, former chairman of the NCA board, is a graduate of Grove City College, and an ordained elder in the Presbyterian Church USA. Dave retired after 30 years in real estate to work serve as the Director of Advancement for Chuck Colson’s Prison Fellowship Ministries. Dave is a Vietnam veteran and recently served as the Vice Chairman of Collier Pregnancy Centers. He has been married 35 years to Sally and they have two grown daughters and two grandchildren. His hobbies include golf and studying the War Between the States. He and his wife were actively involved in First Presbyterian Church of Naples before recently moving to the Tampa area.
Deborah P. Cook is the former chairperson of the Collier County School Board. She has extensive experience in education, public and private. Her husband, Tom, is an anesthesiologist with Collier Anesthesia. She and her family enjoy spending time at their second home in the mountains of North Carolina. They have several grown children as well as a daughter in high school at the Community School of Naples. Deborah is a graduate of Stanford University.
Erin M. Ehrgott is a Naples Christian Academy parent with two children. Her son Chase is in sixth grade and her daughter, Megan, graduated from NCA in 2005 and currently is a student at Barron Collier High School. Her husband is a flight officer with American Airlines. Erin is actively involved at the Academy and has participated in development and fund-raising. She is a registered nurse at North Collier Hospital and received her bachelor's of science in nursing at San Diego State University. She and her family attend Center Point Community Church.
Charles S. Lewis, former chairman of the NCA board, has served as a deacon and treasurer at Center Point Community Church and has taught adult Sunday school. He is married to Joy and has two adult daughters. He is the founder of Lewis Capital Management. Chuck has a degree in economics from Ripon College, an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, and a law degree from Marquette. He is an attorney, CPA, MBA and CFA. He and his wife spend their summers in Milwaukee.
Sue Nite, Secretary of the Naples Christian Academy board, is Director of Christian Education at Center Point Community Church. She has taught in public and private schools and her sons Micah and Noah attended NCA. Micah is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and is in his second year of medical school at the University of Miami. Noah is graduating from the University of Miami in May 2006. Her youngest son, Don, is a graduate of the Community School of Naples and currently attends Gordon College. Sue’s husband, Jim, is the pastor of Center Point Community Church.
Derek Richman is the associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Naples, where he has served since 2001.
Michael Ruganis, treasurer of the Naples Christian Academy board, is currently Chief Pilot for Naples Flight Management, LLC, a flight management company for a family corporation in Naples. He has been with this company for 25 years and flies a Gulfstream G100 to locations all across the U.S. Mike is a graduate of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He also owns a computer consulting business, J&M Micro, Inc. started in 1990. He has volunteered a great deal of time in supporting and maintaining computer network and hardware systems at NCA for the past three years. Mike is a past secretary and treasurer of Center Point Community Church, served on the church board for nine years, has been a Sunday School teacher, and has been involved in church information technology projects and its drama programs. Mike has been a Christian since his early teens and he and his wife Terry have three adult children and one grandchild.
