Congratulations to NCA, Mrs. McWilliams, the Green Team, our incredible team of “dumpster divers” and all involved for a most fantastic job of bringing our community together in a united effort resulting in the recycling of over 655,000 containers and a 2nd place finish in this national contest! We also congratulate St. Cornelius (in Chicago) for their amazing come from behind win in the final few days of the contest. We sincerely believe that no group of students, parents and volunteers worked harder than those of NCA! We are so appreciative of the community support, encouragement and cooperation of Waste Management and Pepsico along with so many public and private agencies that allowed us to pick up containers throughout the Naples and Collier County communities.
While there is disappointment in not capturing the $50,000 first place prize we recognize the huge wins in so many areas! The collective value of these wins cannot be measured in dollars but, were that possible, we have no doubt it would exceed $ 50,000! It includes:
•The saving of our landfills in order to offer a brighter future for our children
•The support provided for disabled veterans
•The fulfillment of our mission statement with “hands prepared to serve” and actively serving our community
•The bonds of friendship developed through the process
•The strengthening of the NCA families in a united cause
•The contacts developed with numerous community agencies
•The community awareness of the ministry and purpose of NCA
•The $ 11,000 in classroom make-over in the middle school
•The additional cash winnings of nearly $ 10,000
•The support of the media through news articles (priceless)
•The lessons of caring for the environment, organization and teamwork learned by our “Green Team” and entire student body
Now it’s time to celebrate these many accomplishments of the past 9 months and recognize those who have given so sacrificially of their time and effort! Friday, May 18th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. we will enjoy a BBQ Celebration with hotdogs, hamburgers, delicious side dishes, desserts and most of all fellowship.

We are so excited to start every Monday with a corporate time of praise, prayer and devotion. All K-8th grade students and faculty will be meeting at 8:00am in the Chapel every Monday. We will be learning a Godly Character trait each week, and thanking God for the mighty blessings He continues to bestow upon NCA!
